A Major Milestone Achieved

We recently reached a major milestone achieved for the Mayflower II Restoration Project - the last hull plank below the wale has been installed! This is often known as the "whiskey plank." The shipwrights from Mystic Seaport Museum and Plimoth Plantation have milled, steamed, fit, and installed 182 hull planks - 20,000 board feet of white oak sourced from Denmark's royal managed forest - during the restoration of this national treasure.
